Apparently book sales go way up when they get an adaptation (not surprising) and I for one have also picked up some books because of TV adaptations. So let’s take a look at which books I picked up after watching an adaptation or because the book was getting an adaptation!

Heated Rivalry

Of course I have to talk about Heated Rivalry! I watched the show multiple times and I immediately wanted to read the books. After reading the whole series I went ahead and reread Heated Rivalry and The Long Game twice. I fell in love with the story again, so this was a great experience.

Off-Campus

I read the first book in the off-campus series years ago but kind of forgot about it afterwards. After watching the show I was once again intrigued and I started reading the next book in the series. It was enjoyable, but not great so I haven’t read all the books just yet.

The Windy City

After I saw the announcement for the Windy City series adaptation I figured it was time to dive in! I’m currently reading the third book and I’m loving the series so far. Hopefully the adaptation will be just as good as the books!

The Housemaid

I wanted to watch the movie adaptation of the Housemaid, so of course I first wanted to read the book. It was a good thriller and I enjoyed it. For some reason I still haven’t watched the movie haha. I was planning on reading the other books as well, but it might take some time.

The Summer I Turned Pretty

When the Summer I Turned Pretty first aired I figured it was the perfect time to finally read the books. I binged the whole series and did enjoy it, although it wasn’t a favorite of mine. While I watched the first season, I never got around to watching the rest of the show. Maybe someday!
