We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

We were lucky with a little bit of cooler weather, but it did get too warm again. Before it was really bad, my mother and I took a little trip to the beach after an appointment. It’s a favorite place of mine and I could listen to the waves all day. Then the weather got too warm to do much, so it was mostly just spending time indoors with our AC, haha.

Last weekend was our monthly game night. I worked in the morning, so I just chatted a bit, but I didn’t play any of the games. Thankfully the weather is cooling down again! Tomorrow I’m going to try on wedding dresses for the first time and I’m very excited!

I’ve received quite a few ARCs since my last Royal Update (in total I have 16 new ARCs): Drown the Bones, You Me & the Conspiracy, Too Cold for Comfort, The Santa Claus Con, The Christmas Getaway, The Holiday House Swap, Back for Seconds, Bones, Strange Powers, Mooncursed, Save a Horse, A Pinch of Magic, Evie and Her Nightmares (ALC), Keeping Score, Love Felt Like This, and Faking for Now.

Since my last Royal Update, I finished reading: Fake Skating, Crown Me Yours, Bromantasy, Before I Forget, Into the Fading Twilight, and How to find Love in the Cereal Aisle.

I’m currently reading: Yesteryear, The Final Score, The Hero of Ages, and Whiskey Chaser.

Next I’m hoping to read: Sinister, West of Forever, and Cytonic.

For my pick on movie night we watched Voicemails for Isabelle. I had such a great time with this movie. It’s sad, but had many heartwarming and funny moments as well. This is a movie I see myself rewatching in the future.

The fiancé and I have been trying to catch up on shows we’ve started watching, but stopped watching when we were distracted by other things. We finished the third season of The Wheel of Time. Such a good show (even if it didn’t completely follow the books), but I’m not happy with the open ending we got!

I was listening to Kelly Clarkson on repeat last time and this week it’s been the This is Taylor Swift playlist! I couldn’t pick what album I wanted to listen to.
