Review | The Mindf*ck Series – S.T. Abby

These past few weeks I have finally been reading more! With my two weeks off work I actually managed to read 11 books! And part of that was because of the Mindf*ck series. So today I wanted to give my thoughts on these books!

They took too much. Left too little. I had nothing to lose…until him. ***************** ~Lana~ I didn’t expect him. I didn’t want to fall in love. But I can’t let him go. Logan Bennett makes the world a safer place. He’s brilliant. He’s a hero. He locks away the sick and depraved. But while he’s saving lives, I’m taking them. Collecting the debts that are owed to me. Ten years ago, they took from me. They left me for dead. They should have made sure I stayed dead. Now I’m taking from them. One name at a time. I’ve trained for too long. I’ve been patient. I can’t stop now. Revenge is best served cold… They never see me coming, until I paint their walls red. Logan doesn’t know how they hurt me. He doesn’t know about the screams they ignored. He doesn’t know how twisted that town really is. He just knows people are dying. He doesn’t know he’s in love with their killer. No one suspects a dead girl. And Logan doesn’t suspect the girl in his bed. They’re looking for a monster. Not a girl who loves red. Not a girl in love. I’m a faceless nightmare. At least until I tell them the story they’ve pretended never happened. But in the end, will Logan choose them? Or will we watch them burn together?

The Mindf*ck series consists of five books. These books are really short, the shortest is 115 pages and the longest is 177. So it’s no wonder I read at least one of them per day haha. I read all of them through Kindle Unlimited and for me that’s exactly what I got KU for. These aren’t books I would buy in a store, especially not considering the length, but I am glad I have read them.

We follow Lana and Logan and their journey. I will say, the romance was too insta-love for me. All of the story plays out over just a couple of months I would say and I thought their romance went way too quick.

What I was interested in was Lana’s story. I was really curious about what happened in her past and I loved that she was taking revenge. For me that was really what this series was about and why I was interested in it in the first place. I really enjoyed her story, although I was also sickened by what was done to her.

There were some cool twists I didn’t necessarily see coming and I wanted to keep on reading. Each book ended in such a way that I wanted to start the next one right away. And I did just that haha. If I didn’t have to study, I probably would’ve finished all 5 books in about 2 days. I didn’t take that much longer now though haha.

If you have Kindle Unlimited I would for sure recommend picking up this series. Be mindful of the trigger warnings though, because this is a dark romance and there are some very heavy things in the books. Overall I am happy I picked up this series and would love to read something similar!
