Royal Update #319

We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Life has just been life the last couple of weeks. We were supposed to have book club, but train repairs would add 45 minutes to our trip and we weren’t feeling that, haha. So we had a quiet weekend at home. We’re just trying to get back to normal.

Since my last Royal Update I added another 9 ARCs to my TBR (oops…). I’m very grateful for the approvals and I’m excited about reading them. I was approved for: The Last Page (ALC), Student Union (ALC), All Hail Chaos (ALC), If Books Could Kill, The Silent Appeal, See You Next Tuesday, The Lowe Job, Down with the Shipmans, Swipe Bite.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: What We Did to Survive, Please Don’t Go, A Star-Cursed Heart, Burnout, What the River Knows, One Last Shot, Wild Reverence, The Forest Grimm, Love Overboard, The Moon on A Rainy Night Vol. 3, and Tusk Love.

I’m currently reading: Death’s Daughter and Playbook.

Next I’m hoping to read: Student Union, Rules for the Summer, and Broken Dove.

Last week was my pick for our weekly movie night and I decided to pick a movie I haven’t seen in years: Down to You. It was a little weirder than I remembered, but I still had a good time revisiting that one.

Then on Saturday, the fiance went over to a friend’s house for a boardgame, so I had an evening with my mother. We watched Desperately Seeking Susan. An 80s movie that she enjoyed and wanted to watch again. We had fun.

I went back to my high school days by listening to Westlife’s 25th anniversary album, haha. A lot of these songs remind me of teenage moments. It’s always fun revisiting stuff like this.

So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Read or watch anything amazing? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
