Down the TBR Hole #171

I think this is going to be the Down the TBR Hole post where we get under 400 books on my want to read shelf. This has been a long time coming!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

It works like this:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?
  • Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!

Current “to-read” shelf: 400 (my last post ended at 400. So that’s the same as at the end of my last post.)

Scritch Scratch – Lindsay Currie
Keep

A Deal with the Elf King – Elise Kova
Remove

Where It All Lands – Jennie Wexler
Remove

The Traitor Queen – Danielle L. Jensen
Remove

In Five Years – Rebecca Serle
Keep

The Language of Ghosts – Heather Fawcett
Remove

The Intimacy Experiment – Rosie Danan
Remove

Not My Problem – Ciara Smyth
Remove

Meet Cute Diary – Emery Lee
Remove

Flash Fire – TJ Klune
Keep

This week is filled with a combination of books I own, still want to read, have a different edition of, or just don’t even remember. I definitely think we’re making good progress!

Removal Percentage: 70%
Current “to-read” shelf: 393

I finally have less than 400 books on my want to read shelf! This is something I’ve really been working at. Only keeping books on this shelf that I still really want to read/know I’ll end up reading. What do you think of my decisions? Should I pick up any of these soon? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
