We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

When this comes online I’ll be back at work after two weeks off. I can tell you that I’m so not ready for my vacation to be over, haha. The first week was a lot of fun. The weather was nice, we celebrated my birthday (as well as the fiancé’s sister’s birthday), and I got to do the bookstore challenge! It was so much fun and a lot more stressful than you’d think.

The second week I ended up coming down with a cold, so most of are plans were cancelled. I was feeling better closer to the weekend, so we went to play some games with friends. We also went out to dinner with them to celebrate on our engagement.

I actually added 7 new eARCs to my Kindle in the last two weeks (oops…): West of Wicked (ALC), With All My Haunted Heart, The Wash Ashores, Chasing the Fire, Tropesick. Something About September, and Kiss, Marry, Kill.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Daggermouth, The Irresistible Urge to Fall for Your Enemy, On Wings of Blood, The Moon on a Rainy Night Vol. 2, A Condition Called Love Vol. 12, A War of Wyverns, Dire Bound, We Contain Multitudes, A Condition Called Love Vol. 13, The Future Saints, Only Friends, Project Hail Mary, and Two Can Play.

I’m currently reading: Across the Vanishing Sky, Wild Reverence, and Valentine Nook.

Next I’ll be reading: Kiss of the Basilisk, Children of Fallen Gods, and The Bond That Burns.

We recently watched Roofman and it was really good! It’s based on a true story. I wasn’t familiar with this case, but it was interesting! I definitely recommend this one.

The Fray is a band I listened to quite a lot a few years ago. They released a new album recently and that’s what I’ve been listening to. I’m not sure I like it as much as their earlier music, but it’s still good.
So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Read or watch anything amazing? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
