It’s once again time to see if we read the books we add to our shelves, haha. We talked about our February 2026 bookhaul, so it’s time for a looking back at our February 2025 bookhaul. What did we add to our shelves? More importantly, did we actually read them? Let’s take a look!
Candyce
In February 2025 I added 18 books to my shelves. I had already read a few, so let’s see how far I got!

The Starlight Heir – Amalie Howard
Read + Unhaul
The Starlight Heir sounded amazing, but unfortunately it just didn’t work for me. It started off by having an older world, but using very modern language. The story had potential, but just didn’t work for me.

Onyx Storm – Rebecca Yarros
Read
It wasn’t that long ago that I finally sat down and read this, but I did! A lot of people were disappointed in Onyx Storm, but I had a great time.

A Torch Against the Night – Sabaa Tahir
Read
When I bought A Torch Against the Night, I had already read this book. I loved the new editions that were published and it was great timing for my reread.

Us Against You – Fredrik Backman
Unread
Us Against You is one I’m surprised I haven’t read yet. Beartown was a book I absolutely loved and I’ve read another book by this author since. This book is on my radar to read soon.

Husband Material – Alexis Hall
Unread
I bought Husband Material right after loving Boyfriend Material. As a reader, I’m very bad at continuing series. It’s something I’m really trying to work on this year.

The Charlie Method – Elle Kennedy
Read
Like I said in our bookhaul, the Off Campus series was my introduction to sports romances. I loved all of the books in this trilogy. The chats between the dads from that original series were hilarious. Elle Kennedy knows how to write hockey romances.

God of Fury – Rina Kent
Unread
I’ve said this the previous months, but this is a series I collected because of the pretty edges. They’re not available anymore, so I’m glad I picked them up! I need to start working on Rina Kent’s backlist again, so I can get to these.

Kingmakers: Graduation – Sophie Lark
Just like the previous book, I was collecting these editions of the series. This one is now complete, so I should just take time and read all of them.

First-Time Caller – B.K. Borison
Read
First-Time Caller was such a fun book! I had an amazing time. At the moment, I’m actually waiting for my Afterlight edition of book two to arrive.

The Rose Bargain – Sasha Peyton Smith
Read
The sequel to The Rose Bargain releases in April, so I needed to make sure I read this one. I will say this book was quite surprising. The twist at the end wasn’t something I saw coming at all!

Iron & Embers – Helen Scheuerer
Unread
At the moment, I’ve read two books in The Legends of Thezmarr and it’s another series for me to finish. Iron & Embers is the beginning of a spinoff series, so I have to wait a bit to read this one.

A Condition Called Love Vol. 9-11 – Megumi Morino
Read
A Condition Called Love has quickly become one of my favorite manga series. The anime was fun, but we’ve passed the events in that quite a while ago. I love seeing this story unfold.

Cat + Gamer Vol. 7 – Wataru Nadatani
Read
This slice of life manga is so much fun. I’m not a gamer, but the parts where she takes care of her cats is so fun. My favorite parts were the little bonus pages told from the POV of the cats. I’m sad this manga is now complete.

Toradora! Vol. 1 – Yuyuko Takemia
Read
Toradora! is one I already read the month I received it. I loved the anime and this first volume was a great start. I really should start collecting the rest of the series.

The Dangers in My Heart Vol. 1 – Norio Sakuari
Read
Another manga series that I need to start collecting. There were some things I could’ve done without, but the fiancé does say it gets better. So I do want to read more of this story.

My Love Story with Yamada-kun Vol. 4 – Mashiro
Read
Even though I’m not a gamer, I love the mix of gaming and friendship/romance in this one. We actually see the game in this manga and that keeps me interested. Vol. 6 releases soon and I can’t wait!
End Result:
Read: 13/18 – 72.2%
TBR: 5/18 – 27.3%

This was one of those boring months for me unfortunately. I didn’t get any new physical books, nor did I get any audiobooks. So nothing to update you all on either. Luckily I did see that it will be a different story for the next couple of looking back post!
It’s always interesting to look back at these bookhauls! Have you read any of these books? Or do you keep track of your TBR in any way? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you!
