Tag | Try A Chapter: Netgalley Edition Part 17

It’s been awhile since I did a Try A Chapter tag and I thought today would be a good day to do another one. I still have a ton of Netgalley eARC’s and this is a great way to see which ones I’m still interested in and which might just not be for me. Let’s take a look at todays eARC’s!

Home Before Dark – Riley Sager

This starts of pretty good and I immediately want to continue reading. A supposedly haunted house, excerpts from a book written about our MC living in said house. Sounds interesting and intriguing and so far it is! This is one I just need to sit down with and go for, I’m pretty sure I will be enjoying this one..

The Ones We’re Meant to Find – Joan He

This one just didn’t grab me, maybe because I’m tired or because it’s not something I’m currently interested in. The opening chapter didn’t make me curious and I don’t feel compelled to continue reading. I might revisit that decision later on when I’m less tired, maybe I will change my mind!

Illusionary – Zoraida Córdova

There was a pretty long prologue, so I didn’t read the actual first chapter. I’m on the fence with this one and reading another chapter might sway it one way or another. While I’m curious about the world and the story, I’m not immediately clicking with the characters. That might change because this is a prologue, but somehow it isn’t completely working for me. It’s hard to describe, and I do want to read this one, but I’m not sure how fast I will want to pick this one up.

These were 3 more book on my Netgalley shelf. It has always been fun to try a chapter and renew interest in the eARC’s I have. Or finally decide that I will not be reading certain books. I have to say these were pretty good and wanting to read 2 out of 3 isn’t so bad! have you read any of these books? What do you think about them? And which one should I pick up first? Let me know down below!
