TTT #414 | Bookish Discoveries I Made in 2025

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Bookish Discoveries I Made in 2025. I find topics like this really hard! Most of the time I have a pretty good idea about what I like, so the one thing I do ‘discover’ are new to me authors. I’m not sure I read books by 10 new to me authors, but we can see how far we’ll come. Let’s jump in!

Richard Osman

A big name in the crime genre and one I have been wanting to read for a while now. Since there was going to be a movie, I had to finally read it. It was enjoyable and I do want to read more boos by this author. I won’t say I will prioritise his book, but I would like to pick them up at some point.

Elle Cosimano

I really wanted to read this book and hopefully this series. This was really enjoyable, so I will definitely be reading the rest of the series. But to be honest, I don’t even know if Elle Cosimano wrote anything else. So I guess I would have to try so more before I can conclusively say I want to read more by this author.

Elle Kennedy

My friends have been raving about this series and this author for years and I have finally read this book haha. I did enjoy it and would like to try some more, but I don’t think I will go out of my way to pick up a book by Elle Kennedy. Maybe after trying a couple of more!

Jennifer Holdich

I really enjoyed this book and I was immediately interested in Jennifer Holdich’s next book. Luckily I got an eARC and I’m already reading Mr. & Mrs. Dixon Hide a Body. If I enjoy it as much as I did Julie Tudor, I will be picking up the next book Jennifer Holdich writes as well!

T. Kingfisher

I heard much about T. Kingfisher, but I picked this book up on a whim to be honest. It was really enjoyable and I would like to try the next book in the series as well. After that I might pick up another book by T. Kingfisher to see how I will like that!

Tamsyn Muir

I have had this book on my TBR for years, readers seemed to either love or hate it. Personally, I really enjoyed it! Tamsyn Muir is still working on this series and I think I will read the next book as well, after that we will see.

Annalee Newitz

I have another Annalee Newitz book waiting on my shelves, but I’m glad I read this one. It was really enjoyable and it makes me even more excited to finally pick up another book by Annalee Newitz.

Rebecca J. Caffery

I enjoyed this book and I will be reading the next one, as I’m so curious as to what it going on with one of the main characters. But honestly, I’m not sure if I would necessarily pick up another book by this author, it totally depends on the synopsis!

Not quite 10, but I would say 8 is still pretty good considering I only read 30 new books this year! Have you read books by any of these authors? Did you enjoy their work? I would love to hear from you down below!
