It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?

Delicate Escape – Catherine Cowles
Why did it take me so long to continue with the Sparrow Falls series?!? Delicate Escape was so good! Shep and Thea were everything and really were perfect for each other. I loved being back in this small town with this amazing cast of characters.

Half His Age – Jennette McCurdy
Half His Age just didn’t work for me. I get that the author was going for the shock factor and what this book wanted to be, but the writing kind of felt lacking. This book didn’t shock me or do anything but make me feel uncomfortable (that’s the point, I know) and it felt repetitive.
What are you currently reading?

House of Flame and Shadow – Sarah J Maas
I actually started reading House of Flame and Shadow when this released in January 2024. Since then it’s been on my TBR shelf after I read 50 pages, haha. The fiancé read my goals and knows I want to actually finish books I start, so he goes, you should read this. I actually picked it up, haha. At the moment, I’m almost 400 pages in and I’m having a great time. House of Flame and Shadow is the third book in a series, so I can’t say too much.

Coldwire – Chloe Gong
Science fiction isn’t a genre I read often, but Coldwire sounded so good. I love the idea that people mostly live in a virtual world because our world just isn’t great anymore. We follow two characters who both have their own mission going on and I’m curious to see how their stories will intertwine.
What do you think you’ll read next?

Soul Searching – Lyla Sage
After giving us a series of cowboy romances, we’re getting a paranormal romance from Lyla Sage. This is my swoonalong read for the month, so I need to read this book before Sunday. I’m a big fan of some magical realism/paranormal aspects in my stories. I have a feeling I’m going to love Soul Searching.

Onyx Storm – Rebecca Yarros
It’s finally time for me to read Onyx Storm! Part of me is scared to read this one, because there were quite a few mixed reviews. That being said, I still give books a chance and hype does make it tricky to know what to believe with bookish opinions. I loved the first two books in this series. I’m not looking forward to a possible cliffhanger when we don’t know when the next book will be released, haha.
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
