Bookish Item| 26 Books in 2026 Part 2

Not too long ago, I posted the first part of my 26 book in 2026. Today it’s time for the second part of my list. I am focusing on mood reading this year, so I don’t know how many of them I’ll actually get to. At the moment, I can say all of these are books I really want to read.

Wild Reverence – Rebecca Ross

Divine Rivals was such a pleasant surprised and I was pulled into this world during both books. I loved that Rebecca decided to write Wild Reverence that takes place in the same world. I believe this is a prequel? I ordered the Fairyloot edition that I should be receiving in the next few months.

A River Enchanted – Rebecca Ross

After loving other books by Rebecca Ross, I had to add the other book on my shelves to this list. I have a feeling this is going to be another magical and whimsical read. It wouldn’t surprise me if Rebecca Ross becomes an autobuy author.

The Right Move – Liz Tomforde

I know a lot of people didn’t love Mile High, but I devoured that book. Most say that the series gets better after book one, so I guess I’m in for quite the ride. The Right Move is a basketball romance and we get two characters we were introduced to in the first book. It’s time for me to continue with this series.

The Lightning-Struck Heart – TJ Klune

TJ Klune writes amazing, heart-warming books and I’ve heard nothing but great things about The Lightning-Struck Heart (and the rest of this series). This is one that I guess I keep on saving for a special moment? I need to stop doing that and read the books that sound good to me.

What Happens in Amsterdam – Rachel Lynn Solomon

It’s not often that I read books that take place in the country I live in. So when I saw What Happens in Amsterdam I was intrigued. At the moment, I’m actually halfway through this one and I’m having a great start. Who am I? Reading one of these in January, haha.

The Fragile Threads of Power – VE Schwab

VE Schwab is one of my favorite authors and for someĀ  reason I haven’t picked up The Fragile Threads of Power yet. Probably because we don’t have a date or even a title for the second book. I know that Schwab is good with cliffhangers after reading the Shades of Magic series. It’s one that keeps calling to me though.

If It Makes You Happy – Julie Olivia

This small town romance is one I’ve only heard amazing things about since it released last September. A lot of readers are saying this gives a lot of Gilmore Girls vibes. I also love the fact that it takes place in the 90s. In that decade I was still a kid, but it’s always fun.

On Wings of Blood – Briar Bloeyn

On Wings of Blood has been a very hyped book and it’s one I’m interested in. A half fae in a school for high blood vampires? We all know that’s going to be interesting. I love books that take place in some type of academy.

Problematic Summer Romance – Ali Hazelwood

Ali Hazelwood is one of my auto buy authors and I’m shocked I haven’t read Problematic Summer Romance yet. These two characters already had my attention in Not in Love. I’m not sure I can wait for the summer months to sit down with this.

Glow of the Everflame – Penn Cole

Another series you couldn’t go online and not see someone talking about. I devoured Spark of the Everflame and I guess I’ve been a bit hesitant to continue. Mostly because we haven’t had a release date stay the same for the final book. It’s now July 2026. Let’s see if it stays that way.

The Ragpicker King – Cassandra Clare

The Ragpicker King is the sequel to Sword Catcher, Cassandra Clare’s adult debut. It was a pleasant surprise and I’m surprised that I haven’t read The Ragpicker King yet. I bought the book with a Christmas gift card, so it’s time to see where this story goes. I’m not sure when the third book is supposed to release though.

Story of My Life – Lucy Score

Lucy Score is an author who always knows how to make me laugh out loud, but also hit me in all the feels. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about Story of My Life and the release of this sequel is right around the corner. This is the author’s love letter to everyone who wants to move to a fictional town. That definitely has my attention!

Anathema – Keri Lake

Nocticadia was a book that was a pleasant surprise for me and I’ve been wanting to read more by Keri Lake. Anathema is another gothic/dark romance and I have quite a few friends who loved this book. The sequel released late last year, so at least I can continue if I fall in love with the story like I expect to.

So here are the rest of my 26 books in 2026! Have you read any of these? What do you have on your need to read list for 2026? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
