It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

Mistletoe Meet Cute – Bella Matthews

I’ve officially started my holiday reading. Mistletoe Meet Cute is a brother’s teammate/nanny romance. I had a smile on my face while reading this one and I couldn’t put it down. Holly and Camden had such a great connection from the start and I just needed them to be together. This was less than 200 pages and I honestly would’ve loved a 500 page book about these two.

The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn – Valerie Bowman

The weather is getting cooler here and a cozy fall read sounded like just what I needed. The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn seemed like the perfect book for that because it had everything I was looking for in a book like this. A cozy inn, a cute dog, found family, and helping family succeed. That being said, I couldn’t connect with the main character at all. I didn’t really like her and I don’t understand her obsession with dementia. She wonders if her parents or if she herself has dementia so many times it started to get annoying. Also, because I didn’t really like her, I couldn’t really connect with the romance. Thankfully, the fall festival being organized was interesting and some of the side characters. I wish I loved this one more than I did.

What are you currently reading?

Alchemised – SenLinYu

So I never read Manacled, but Alchemised was one I was very curious about. A friend and I are doing a buddy read. At the moment we’re a little over 100 pages in and it’s keeping my attention. It’s still a bit confusing, but I’m intrigued! Alchemised is a 1000 page book, so I’ll be busy for a bit.

Leviathan Wakes – James S.A. Corey

For my in person book club we’re reading Leviathan Wakes. The meeting is this Saturday and I’m 20% in. I don’t read a lot of science fiction, so I’m finding a few things confusing, but I am curious to see where the story goes.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Wisteria – Adalyn Grace

My series slayers group is finishing up the final book in the Belladonna trilogy. Wisteria is the final book, but a novella did just release in this series. I really enjoyed Belladonna and Foxglove, so I’m excited to see how this story wraps up.

Say It Out Loud – Ashley Schumacher

I received an eARC of Say It Out Loud, but I haven’t had the chance to read it. Last week, someone I follow on bookstagram reviewed this book and made me want to drop everything to read this book. I have a feeling it’s going to be a great time!
