It’s been a little while, but I used to use the try a chapter tag to see if I was still interested in the older eArcs I haven’t read yet. While I was excited for them when I requested them, my reading tastes have changed a bit and some of these books just aren’t for me anymore. I have not nearly enough time to spend it on books I don’t enjoy or I’m not excited about so I have to make some decisions. Let’s see what I think after the first chapters!

Where Dreams Descend – Janella Angeles

I have no idea what was going on in that first chapter! It was somewhat interesting, but also really confusing. I don’t mind that if there will be good world building later on and everything starts to make sense, but I can’t say I got curious enough to want to continue. So I might have to decide this one just isn’t for me.

The End of Men – Christina Sweeney-Baird

This started off not that exciting to be honest, but then we got to the start of the outbreak and I was hooked! I had trouble putting the book down and I’m really curious what will happen next. This is for sure a book I want to continue reading and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

These Violent Delights – Chloe Gong

I was very excited about this one and I still really want to read it. While I do think I will enjoy this one, I don’t think I’m in the right frame of mind at the moment. I couldn’t really concentrate on what was going on and I didn’t want to keep on reading right away. This one I just have to try again a little later I think.
