We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

My life update isn’t going to be very exciting, haha. I’ve mostly just been working and relaxing. We’re really close to our three week vacation and I’m very ready for that to be here. I only have to work this week and I can enjoy three weeks off. It’s weird that it’s dark when I leave for my early shifts in the morning. I am excited we’re heading to the cozy time of the year.

My Netgalley approvals have been out of control, haha. In these last two weeks, I’ve added another 10 eARCs to my Kindle. Seven of them are 2026 releases. The following books were added to my TBR: Stolen Midnights, Yours for the Season, Follow My Voice, The Lies that Summon the Night, This Is Not About Us, Heart Check, Love on Ice, Lady X, A Widow’s Charm, and Room to Breathe.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Everyone on This Train is a Suspect, The Knight and the Moth, Dirty Talker, The Blade Itself, Face Off, Pride and Premeditation, The Listeners, The Thursday Murder Club, Belladonna, The Entanglement of Rival Wizards, and Love Arranged.

I’m currently reading: Rose in Chains, Prince Charming, and Lucky Shot.

This week I’m hoping to read: Katabasis, Beautiful Things, and People Watching.

We watched Thunderbolts for a movie night and it was a fun movie. It’s not my favorite Marvel movie, but it was pretty entertaining. My mother and I also finished watching the most recent season of Grey’s Anatomy. We watched the finale without realizing it was the final episode, and wow we weren’t expecting that ending. The new season can’t come soon enough!

Once again, I really haven’t been listening to much these days. After playing Hitster, I’ve been listening to some groups I used to enjoy listening to. This time that’s been Sugababes.
