Two months ago I wrote a post about Apple Arcade, I had a free month to try it out and today I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings about it. By now I have played games through Apple Arcade for 2 months and I have made a decision about what to do with my subscription. So let’s take a look!
I had a free month of subscription and played Hello Kitty Island Adventure and Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom. Both games were really enjoyable and because of the game mechanics you need to play them (preferably) daily, you won’t be able to keep on progressing in one go. I was really sure I had set a reminder to cancel my subscription after the free month, but apparently I didn’t haha. So before I knew it I had paid for another month. That month I played Hello Kitty Island Adventure almost exclusively.

After paying for a month I did set a reminder to cancel my subscription. I debated getting another month or if I should just buy Hello Kitty Island Adventure on Steam or Switch. It was a pretty difficult decision. I like the idea of actually owning the game, but it takes months before the game get updated on Steam and Switch after an Apple Arcade update. There is also a part of the game that is only available on Apple Arcade. I was still going back and forth when I saw you could also get a year of Apple Arcade for €49,99. That is almost the same as getting Hello Kitty on Switch. And for that price I also get to play other games. I figured it was worth it, as I don’t know if I still will be playing this next year, but I still get to try other games during that year as well.

The first game I want to try is Disney Dreamlight Valley, I already downloaded it to both my phone and my Mac and I hope to try it this weekend. I was really scared to be completely obsessed with it when I still had a lot of work to do, but now that I have a month of vacation left it’s the perfect time to start it. A couple of my friends absolutely adore this game and I’m so excited to dive in.

There are two more games I really want to try; Wylde Flowers and Alba. I have heard great things about Wylde Flowers over on cozy gaming TikTok and I’m really curious about it. It’s nice to be able to try it out this way! I hadn’t heard about Alba yet, but I really liked the look of the picture haha. After watching a review for it, I decided I had to try it. You have to find all the wildlife on an island and it just looks gorgeous!
Have you tried Apple Arcade? Or any of these games? I would love to hear your thoughts about it down below! After playing some of these games I will do another review!
