We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
I have to say not much has really happened since my last Royal Update. We had a quiet weekend at home the week after our vacation ended. Then last week I wasn’t feeling great. I was actually home for a couple of days from work and instead of game night, I did a movie night with my mother.
Today was the last day at my current work location. After years of have a 90 minute commute one way, I’m going to a closer store with only a 30 minute commute. It’s going to be an adjustment and I’m hoping I have great colleagues, but I won’t miss the train rides. I am curious to see what it does with my reading!
In my last Royal Update I was pretty good and didn’t add any new eARCs to my Kindle. Since my last post, I added five new eARCs to read: Thrown for a Loop, Daddy Issues, The Future Saints, Date Night in December, and A Little Holiday Fling. There are two Christmas books and I’m already ready to curl up and read them, haha.
Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: All the Lies, Love in Focus, Backhanded Compliments (DNF), Those We Drown, Vows & Ruins, My Oxford Year, Broken by Daylight, All the Truths, Seven Days in June, The Goldens, and A Lesson in Vengeance.
I’m currently reading: Bloodguard, Sleep Like Death, Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil, and The Brave and the Reckless.
Next I’m thinking about reading: The Way I Hate Him, Alone With You in the Ether, and Hotel Magnifique.
It’s been a productive couple of weeks for watching TV shows. The boyfriend and I finished watching Murderbot. I really loved that adaptation and I’m happy we’re getting a second season. We also watched the miniseries Echo, and we started Agatha All Along.
Backstreet Boys released Millenium 2.0 for the 20th anniversary of the album (this makes me feel very old, haha). So I had to make my teenage heart happy and listen to this one. I will say the version of I Want It That Way with different lyrics is very weird to listen to, haha.
