I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and wanted to watch an easy, funny show that wouldn’t force me to think too much. A show like Nobody Wants This or Running Point. That’s when I came across Hacks. After watching the first 2 episodes I wanted to share my thoughts, so let’s jump in!

Explores a dark mentorship that forms between Deborah Vance, a legendary Las Vegas comedian, and an entitled, outcast 25-year-old.

This show starts off with two pretty unlikable main characters. I assume we’re going to like them later on, but for now they seem like not so great people. We don’t know much about their backgrounds, but that’s something I expect to hear more about later on in the series.

I laughed out loud multiple times during these first two episodes! It’s probably not everyone’s humor, but it for sure was mine haha. After these first two episodes there is a start of a developing relationship between Deb and Ava. I’m really curious what will happen next.

This is exactly the kind of show I was looking for. Easy to digest, funny and 30 minute episodes. I would definitely recommend the show (based on these two episodes haha). The coming weeks I hope to watch at least the first season and I while try and update you all if I still enjoy the show after watching more of it!
