We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Since my last Royal Update, life has actually been pretty busy. We got an email that our couch and my reading chair were ready five weeks earlier than expected. So we had to hurry and make arrangements to pick it up. It was weird seeing our living room so empty when we moved out the old couch. I’m so happy with what we picked. I’ll also say that it’s not easy to leave the house now with everything being so comfortable, haha. Now we’re only waiting for our new coffee table, dining room table, and chairs.

After getting everything done with the couch, we want and played some board games with the friends who also helped us to pick up the furniture. I got to enjoy a long weekend and spent my Monday off in my recliner reading. Last weekend we had our monthly little get-together with other friends and had a good time.

I’ve added 13 eARCs to my Kindle since my last Royal Update (oops!): Their Just Desserts, Love at First Fright, Blood & Betrayals, A First Time For Everything, Silver Elite, A Scar in the Bone, Hopelessly Teavoted, It’s Different This Time, Atmosphere, The Killer Question, Homebound, My Favorite Holidate, and Pitcher Perfect.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: A Whole New Ball Game, A Winter Wish, Murder Between Friends, Mister Magic, The Prodigal Son, How to Fail at Flirting, Mickey7, Normal People, The Love of My After Life, Binding 13, and Christmas Is All Around.

I’m currently reading: Shield of Sparrows, My Friends, and Archimancy.

Next I want to read: The Tenant, Silver Elite, and The Sirens.

Last week I caught up with Doctor Odyssey and I’m loving this show. I’m glad it’s going to be back for a second season. We still have three episodes (Disney+ is a few episodes behind).

As I mentioned before, my mother and I have been binging ER and we got to season 11. Unfortunately, it got taken off of HBO Max and we didn’t know that was happening. We’re both very upset and hope another streaming service picks it up out here.

So since we couldn’t continue with ER, we started watching Brothers and Sisters. I watched part of the first season a few years ago, but never continued. I’m enjoying this show so far.

I’m back at listening to one of my favorite 00s playlists. These songs just make me happy when I need to unwind after a busy day at work.
