We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
The past 2 weeks at work have been all about parent-teacher conferences. They took up a lot of time and a lot of energy, although it was really nice to talk to everyone as well. We also invite the students to come along and it’s good to have a game plan for the last months of the year that both the teacher and the parents are happy with. Last Friday we had a volleyball tournament with teachers from a bunch of schools in our district. It was a lot of fun and I played my best games ever, but I also bruised my finger haha. I banged it up pretty good and it’s still swollen and a bit painful…. On Saturday I also had my second competition with our young horse and we did really well. We got a second and a first place and incredibly high marks. So I’m super content with my weekend!
I’ve got an exciting new eARC; Arcana Academy by Elise Kova. This is the first instalment in a fantasy romance and it sounds like something I would absolutely love.
I finished reading The Sunshine Court and I’ve started The Golden Raven. Of course I also read Sunrise on the Reaping last week. And I’m still reading Pole Position and Gideon the Ninth. I’m not sure what I will pick out next, I’m especially debating what my next audiobook should be so I’m open to suggestions.
After finishing Paradise I couldn’t get into anything else. But after trying some things, I started watching S.W.A.T. I did start that years ago, but now I think I’ve gotten into the show and I’m really enjoying it.
A Dutch artist I really like released her newest album last week and I have been listening to it non-stop! She’s called S10 and the album is called Mijn Haren Ruiken Naar Vuur.
