As you might know, I love playing games on my PC or my Switch. And just like with books, I love to make lists of games I would love to get. A couple of games on my wishlist are 2025 releases and I thought it would be fun to share those with you all. So let’s jump in!
Grimoire Groves
Join the witches in their quest to restore the Grimoire Groves! Master magic, grow cute plant creatures and discover the mystery of the Rainbow Socks in this cozy, rogue-lite dungeon crawler.
This one has been on my wishlist for quite a while now! I just love this type of games and you have to admit the art work looks adorable. Just from this header I already know I love the look of the game, the colours are perfect!
Bugaboo Pocket
A virtual pet game starring bugs from land, air and sea! Play as a research scientist living in a cabin with just your bugs and a penpal for company. Spoil them with pets, minigames, food and furniture. Raise and release bugs to help Beetleback Ridge recover from a devastating fire.
Another one I added quite a while ago. This sounds like so much fun! A bit like a tamagotchi but on you computer haha. I love that this is all about bugs, something I don’t love in ‘real life’ but can get excited about in a game.
Tiny Bookshop
Leave everything behind and open a tiny bookshop by the sea in this cozy narrative management game. Stock your tiny bookshop with different books and items, set up shop in scenic locations, and run your cozy second-hand bookshop while getting to know the locals.
This sounds like the perfect game for me! I have always wanted to open a bookshop and I love that you get to do just that in this game. It’s even better knowing that all the books in this game are actual books you could read in real life.
The Witch’s Bakery
The Witch’s Bakery is a 2D Adventure RPG where you live a magical life as a witch-baker in Paris! Manage your store, visit iconic streets and heal people’s heart with your croissants!
I backed this game on Kickstarter and I’m so excited for it! It has a ton of things I love, witches and Paris to name the two biggest things. I also love that you own a bakery and your baking goods are actually magical.
Hotel Galactic
Hotel Galactic is a cozy management game inspired by Studio Ghibli’s classic pictures. Build the tourist destination of your dreams, oversee and unite your staff to forge a quirky family, and make new friends as you explore this wholesomely nostalgic world.
This looks so, so nice. I simply love the look of this game. Also, I really like a good management game and I really liked the first look of this one. Hopefully it’s as good as I think it could be.
These are 5 of the 2025 game releases I’m really excited about. I have a ton more, but most don’t have a definite release date yet, so I’m not completely sure they will be 2025 releases.
