As we’ve mentioned before, one of our most important reading goals of is shrinking our physical TBR’s. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books we still have or what subjects to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s topic is released more than five years ago. I’m sure I have quite a few of those on my shelves. Let’s take a look!
Legendary – Stephanie Garber
After reading Caraval, I did pre-order Legendary. Caraval didn’t completely live up to the hype for me, so I guess I’ve been putting off the next two books in the trilogy? Now that I’m reading Once Upon a Broken Heart, I do want to revisit this series.
Wundersmith: The Calling of Morrigan Crow – Jessica Townsend
Nevermoor is one of my favorite middle grade series, and I loved the first two books. I decided to wait closer to the release of book four to read Wundersmith. Unfortunately, the release of that book has been pushed back many times. Silverborn, the fourth book in the series, now has a cover and 2025 release date. Fingers crossed it stays April 2025, so I can finally continue reading more of Morrigan’s journey.
What If It’s Us – Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera
I’ve loved books by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera and I was really excited when they announced a book they wrote together. What If It’s Us sounds right up my alley. Reviews say this book has the best romance and has laugh out loud moments. What more can you ask for?
Leah on the Offbeat – Becky Albertalli
Speaking of Becky Albertalli, I’ve had Leah on the Offbeat on my shelves for ages as well. I loved the first books in Simonverse, and Leah has always been an interesting character. This really seems like an amazing coming of age book, and it’s time for me to read it myself.
Renegades – Marissa Meyer
Marissa Meyer wrote The Lunar Chronicles and that series really opened up a world of retellings for me. Renegades is her next series and I believe it’s about superheroes? I know a lot of people love these books. I even have this one signed when I had the opportunity to meet her. So why haven’t I read it yet? I couldn’t tell you, haha.
So here are five books on my TBR that released over five years ago. Have you read any of these? Which book should I read first? Or what are some books on your TBR that released over five years ago? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
