Royal Update #249

We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I actually don’t really have anything to update you on. Work has been busy and we had two weekends of relaxing at home, and that was really nice. The weather has been a bit colder and it’s just been great curling up with a blanket and reading/watching Christmas movies.

Since my last Royal Update I’ve added one new eARC to my Kindle: Dream Girl Drama.

Since my last Royal Update I’ve finished reading: Metal Slinger, I’ll Be Gone for Christmas, Death at Morning House, What if You & Me, The Bribe, Cat + Gamer Vol. 6, Daisy Haites, A Sign of Affection Vol. 10, The Bluff, Grave Matter, The Brazen, Heartless, The Bully, Make My Wish Come True, and Best Hex Ever.

I’m currently reading: The Chase, A Jingle Bell Mingle, and Lost and Lassoed.

Next I’ll be reading: Love You a Latke, How to Help a Hungy Werewolf, and How My Neighbor Stole Christmas.

I haven’t had anything for my shop log in a while, but the boyfriend discovered this little controller on TikTok and we both got one to use with our Kobo. I still love my page turner and will use it for my Kindle, but it’s nice not to have anything on your screen when reading. Using this does drain your battery a bit faster though, because WiFi and Bluetooth have to be on.

During last week’s movie night, we watched The Union. It was one we all enjoyed. We’ve also started watching NCIS: Origins and I have to say I’m really impressed with that show so far.

Halloween is over and that means I’m in full Christmas mode now. I’ve been listening to Christmas music during my commute to and from work. Kelly Clarkson’s Christmas album has been on repeat.

So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Read or watch anything amazing? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
