Down the TBR Hole #137

Again, I’m working on this Down the TBR Hole post right after finishing the previous one. That means nothing has changed when it comes to the amount of books on my Goodreads want to read shelf.

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

It works like this:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?
  • Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!

Current “to-read” shelf: 632 (my last post ended at 632. So that’s the same as at the end of the last post.)

Ninth House – Leigh Bardugo
Keep

Flunked – Jen Calonita
Keep

A Wish For Us – Tillie Cole
Remove

Fighting for Everything – Laura Kaye
Remove

Skyward – Brandon Sanderson
Keep

Ruthless Magic – Megan Crewe
Remove

Straight Up Love – Lexi Ryan
Remove

Chasing Him – Kennedy Fox
Remove

Winterwood – Shea Ernshaw
Keep

All the Little Lights – Jamie McGuire
Remove

I’m always surprised to see the different books on my want to read shelf. Sometimes it’s really random to find the third book of a series I haven’t even started on this shelf, haha. This week is a pretty good mix of that and a few books I own and are on my shelves.

Removal Percentage: 60%
Current “to-read” shelf: 626

Another Down the TBR Hole post is now complete! I had another successful week removing things from my want to read shelf. Would you have chosen differently for any of these books? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
