Wishlist Wednesday| Most Anticipated October 2024 Releases

It’s officially autumn, and that means it’s the best reading time of the year. Nothing beats curling up with a good book when it’s cold and rainy outside. Of course, you need books to do this. While both of us have plenty to read, it’s always fun to take a look at the releases to come. So today it’s time to talk about our most Anticipated October releases. Let’s take a look!

Fang Fiction – Kate Stayman-London (October 1st)

With a title like that, of course I’m interested! After looking at the synopsis, I was even more interested. The world of your favorite fantasy novels is real, and you’re invited to visit. The only catch? It’s filled with thirsty vampires. Who wouldn’t want to read a book like that?

Make My Wish Come True – Rachael Lippincott & Alyson Derrick (October 1st)

Make My Wish Come True is described as a sapphic Netflix-esque Christmas movie. Yes, please! Fake dating with your ex-best friend? This is going to be interesting!

Nothing Like the Movies – Lynn Painter (October 1st)

Better than the Movies is one of my favorite YA contemporary books, so when Lynn Painter announced this book I was excited but scared. I mean, could anything beat that book? I was really lucky to get an eARC of this and I can say that I loved it! It’s an emotional read, but so good!

Heir – Sabaa Tahir (October 1st)

I recently got back to Sabaa Tahir’s An Ember in the Ashes and while I didn’t love it, I do think it was in part because I left it for too long. So now that we’re getting a new duology by Sabaa Tahir, I’m for interested in this one. I love her writing and I’m curious to find out what kind of world she wrote this time.

Make the Season Bright – Ashley Herring Blake (October 1st)

Ashley Herring Blake is one of my favorite authors and now that we’re getting a holiday romance from her, I’m so excited. Look at this stunning cover! Two exes find themselves stuck in the same house for Christmas. So I think we’re getting a second chance romance?

Promise Me Not – Meagan Brandy (October 1st)

Say You Swear was such an emotional book, but I’m so glad I read it. Promise Me Not is the next book in this world. No one really knows who this book will be about, but I’m excited to read it anyways.

The Nightmare Before Kissmas – Sara Raasch (October 8th)

I love the Nightmare before Christmas and I have really enjoyed Sara Raasch’s writing in the past. This is also marketed as Red, White & Royal Blue meets The Nightmare Before Christmas and I didn’t need to know anymore than that.

Swordcrossed – Freya Marske (October 8th)

This is a romantasy with low stakes and high heat. And honestly, that sounds wonderful! I love the idea of a fantasy world but the story in it being relatively small.

House of Frank – Kay Sinclaire (October 15th)

This sounds like a wonderful but also heavy story about grief. I love that it’s about a witch who lost the connection to her power because of the grief of losing her sister. It sounds like it could be a beautiful story with some great metaphors.

How My Neighbor Stole Christmas – Meghan Quinn (October 15th)

Meghan Quinn is one of my favorite authors, so when I saw she was releasing a holiday romance, I knew I needed to get my hands on it. How My Neighbor Stole Christmas is an enemies to lovers romance I’m very excited to read.

The Blood Orchid – Kylie Lee Baker (October 22nd)

The Scarlet Alchemist was such a good book and I’ve been anxiously awaiting the sequel. A lot of things are revealed near the end of the book and there are some twists, so I’m hoping this book gives us answers to everything that’s going on.

So those are the books we’re looking forward to that release in October! Do we have any in common? Or are there any you think we really need to know about? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you.
