We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Ten Characters Authors Surprisingly Redeemed. I’m not really feeling this topic at the moment, so I’m going to already do next week’s topic, and that is the books on my Fall TBR. We all know I’m bad at sticking to a TBR, but these are books I really am hoping to read soon. Let’s take a look!
The Will of the Many – James Islington
The Will of the Many is one I see people are loving at the moment. Everyone also seems to be really shocked by the ending. I actually read about the first 50 pages of this one and enjoyed what I read so far. This time I really just need to sit down and finish it. I love fantasy books with academies, and when our main characters discover secrets that could be dangerous for them.
The Courting of Bristol Keats – Mary E. Pearson
Mary E. Pearson wrote The Remnant Chronicles and I really enjoyed that trilogy. I still need to read the Dance of Thieves duology, but I can’t resist picking up her first adult romantasy. Dangerous fae, dark secrets, and an addictive romance? Sign me up!
Wolfsong – TJ Klune
I’ve loved all of the books I’ve read by TJ Klune, and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about his Green Creek series. Wolfsong is the first book and I have a pretty edition with sprayed edges. I know this one also hurts, so I’ll make sure to have tissues, haha.
Fang Fiction – Kate Stayman-London
As readers, I’m sure we all have some worlds that we’d love to visit. In Fang Fiction, this actually seems to happen. Our main character gets an invitation to visit her favorite world. This one just happens to be filled with vampires. It seems like that may be complicated!
Long Live Evil – Sarah Rees Brennan
Another book that is kind of bookish. Our main character enters the world of her favorite fantasy series. She makes a bargain for a second chance at living. I love this concept, but I have seen some mixed reviews, so I am a bit hesitant. Seeing how I don’t always agree with the reviews, I still will give Long Live Evil a chance.
Addicted for Now – Krista & Becca Ritchie
The first two books in the Addicted series really caught my attention and I couldn’t put them down. I’ve had the third book, Addicted for Now, on my shelves for a few months now and I need to continue Lily & Loren’s story.
Ink Blood Sister Scribe – Emma Torzs
Okay, nothing says fall to me like a library with magical books and dark family secrets! I’ve loved the concept of Ink Blood Sister Scribe since I heard about it. Now it’s time I finally sit down and read the book.
Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun – Elle Cosimano
I loved the first Finlay Donovan book and thought it was really unique. I read the sequel this year, and while I still did enjoy it, it’s not something I’m sure that will stay entertaining for me after many books with the same formula. Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun is the third book and I want to read this to see if I’ll continue with the series after this one.
Midnight Kisses – Jeanine Bennedict
Midnight Kisses is a sports romance I’ve had on way too many TBRs, and it’s time I really sit down and read this book. It’s one that sounds right up my alley, and I’m not sure why I haven’t gotten to Midnight Kisses. Football romances aren’t something I read a lot (mostly hockey), so it’ll be fun to read about a different sport.
Things We Left Behind – Lucy Score
The Knockemout series is my first experience with Lucy Score books and I’ve had so much fun. Lucien is a character I’ve loved and wanted more of since book one. Things We Left Behind finally gives us his story. I’ve had this one for a while, because I didn’t want the series to be over. It’s time though! I need to start finishing more series.
So here are ten books on my Fall TBR! Have you read any of these? Or what are some books on your Fall TBR? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
I hope you like all of them!
Several of these are on my TBR list too, and have been for a while… here’s hoping we both get round to them, haha. Enjoy!
