We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Last week was my first week off of work and we started our time off with book club. It was great to see everyone again and start the vacation off in a fun and relaxing way. We didn’t do much the first week, because it rained just about the whole week. I can’t tell you how excited I was to curl up with a blanket and book though when the temperatures started going down. I got a lot of reading done!

Since my last Royal Update I’ve added a few eARCs to my Kindle/Netgalley app: How to Help a Hungry Werewolf (Audiobook), What If It’s You?, and Unhallowed Halls.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Before We Were Strangers, Electric Idol, Warbreaker, Heavy Hitter, My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 Vol. 2, Seas and Greetings, Tangled Up in You, Phantasma, Wild Eyes, The Frugal Wizard’s Handbook for Surviving Medieval England, Better than the Movies, Nothing Like the Movies, Take a Hint Dani Brown, May the Best Player Win, Evocation, and Escaping the Friendzone.

I’m currently reading: Smut, This Cursed Light, and Kingdom of Ash.

Next I’m hoping to read: The Pairing, Best Hex Ever, and Fang Fiction.

For our movie night last week we watched Jackpot. I laughed quite a bit and I have to say it was better than I was expecting. It was a fun movie to watch.

I also finally watched the first episode of Only Murders in the Building and I really enjoyed it. I’ll definitely be watching more of this show soon.

LJ Evans always makes playlists for her books and Lost in the Moonlight is her next release. I’ll be reading the eARC this week and I’m loving the music she chose for her story!
