Royal Update #240

We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

The last couple of weeks have been pretty busy, and I’m so glad I only have one more week of work before having three weeks off. Since my last Royal Update, we visited my boyfriend’s parents. They had some stuff for him after cleaning out his grandparents’ house. We did have an interesting ride home. It started raining really hard and we couldn’t see anything. We ended up pulling into a rest area and sitting there for about 20 minutes.

We also had a friend over to play a couple of board games. Other than that I’ve been relaxing and working. I do hope we get some cooler weather soon.

Since my last Royal Update, I’ve added five eARCs to my Kindle/Netgalley App: The Courting of Bristol Keats (audiobook), The Nightmare Before Kissmas (audiobook), A Sea of Unspoken Things, Blue Sisters, and Better Than Revenge.

Since my last Royal Update I’ve finished reading: The Game Changer, The Girls I’ve Been, The Five Year Lie, Four Eids and a Funeral, This Vicious Grace, The Book Swap, If We Ever Meet Again, What Happens After Midnight, The Coppersmith Farmhouse, This Used to Be Us, Close to Me, Here Lies a Vengeful Bitch, Cage of Dreams, and Pack Up the Moon.

I’m currently reading: Electric Idol, This Cursed Light, Warbreaker, and Smut.

Next I’ll be reading: Tangled Up in You, Wild Eyes, and Phantasma.

Since last time I watched Love & Gelato and Love at First Sight. Both are adaptations of books I’ve read and loved. I’m glad I finally watched both of these, because I really enjoyed them. I liked that both movies had a few changes and it felt that they actually worked for the movie.

I was listening to a Kelly Clarkson playlist, and heard a duet with her and Dan + Shay. I wasn’t familiar with this duo, so I decided to give their music a try. I have to say this was a happy accident.

So that’s my Royal Update for this week. How have you been? Read or do anything interesting lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
