We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
I ended up enjoying lots of downtime and reading during my last week of vacation. Last week I went to see Nick Carter with my mother. When I was 10 I went to see Backstreet Boys as my first concert, so I felt like a teenager again seeing Nick’s show. Before that we went out for a nice dinner. I went back to work a few days later and let’s just say it’s always a struggle going back after some time off. So I spent the weekend at home relaxing, because I also ended up being a little under the weather.
Since my last Royal Update, I’ve added one eARC to my Kindle: The Thirteenth Child.
Since my last Royal Update, I’ve finished reading: Fifteen Hundred Miles from the Sun, The Rage of Dragons, Late Bloomer, Help Me Remember, The Burning God, Bourbon & Lies, The Savior’s Book Cafe Story in Another World Vol. 4, Heavenbreaker, Most Ardently, The Savior’s Book Cafe Story in Another World Vol. 5, A Letter to the Luminous Deep, Spark of the Everflame, All I Want for Christmas, Love Off the Record, The Serpent King, and Wedding Season.
I’m currently reading: So This is War, Pucked, and Summer Romance.
Next I plan on reading: The Midnight Library, The Honey Witch, and Wish You Weren’t Here.
That 90s Show is one I enjoyed when we got the first season last year, so of course, we watched the second season. The last episode definitely ended with a bang and I’m excited for the episodes we’ll be getting in October.
The My Lady Jane show also premiered and I loved the books, so I had to watch. I’ve only seen the first episode so far, but I enjoyed what I saw. They definitely aged up the show a bit, but it works.
James Arthur is an artist I discovered last year and really enjoyed. So when I saw he had a new album out, I had to listen to of it of course. Another one that I enjoy!
