We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

The last couple of weeks have been a bit of a roller coaster. Unfortunately, my boyfriend’s grandmother passed away, so we had the funeral. It was a beautiful service, but an emotional one. Other than that I’ve been working and hanging out at home. The day after the funeral, I did go on a little outing with my mom. We grabbed some lunch and did a little shopping. I now have almost two weeks off of work and I’m hoping to get lots of reading done and just relax.

Since my last Royal Update, I’ve added one eARC to my Kindle. I got approved for Shadows of Perl. I still need to read House of Marionne, but it’s one I’m really excited about and this will motivate me to get to it sooner.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Crossroads, Honey, Leather & Lark, Authentically Izzy, The Princess and the Fangirl, The Savior’s Book Cafe Story in Another World Vol. 1, Foxglove, Bookish and the Beast, The Savior’s Book Cafe Story in Another World Vol. 2, Glitterland, The Savior’s Book Cafe Story in Another World Vol. 3, A Fate Inked in Blood, Nick & Charlie, Five Feet Apart, Geek Girl (DNF), Killer Content, A Condition Called Love Vol. 4, One Last Summer, Read Between the Lines, Masters of Death, Next to You, and Five Broken Blades.

I’m currently reading: Bourbon & Lies, Fifteen Hundred Miles from the Sun, and Love Unwritten.

Next I’ll be reading: The Rage of Dragons, The Burning God, and Late Bloomer.

So I normally don’t have anything for my Shop Log, but this week I have three things to chat about. The boyfriend surprised me with three really cute T-shirts. I don’t really have any bookish one and he saw these.

Also, I finally got a pair of sunglasses that have my prescription, so I don’t have to wear lenses anymore when it’s really sunny. We’re getting warm weather this week, so I got them just in time.

Last, but definitely not least, the boyfriend decided to buy a new TV. He’s been debating for quite some time, but a discount because of the soccer championships going on had him finally deciding to order one. This is a 65 inch TV and it’s amazing. I can almost read the books along with the booktube channels I watch, haha.

Of course I watched the last four episodes of Bridgerton. I enjoyed this season and I can’t believe we probably have to wait two years for more! For our weekly movie night I chose to watch Mother of the Bride. It wasn’t the best movie ever, but it was very entertaining. And that’s what matters!

Lindsey Stirling released a new album, so I had to listen to it. The boyfriend and I got tickets to her show here in October, because we loved her Christmas show so much. So I’ve had this on repeat since it was released on Spotify.
