We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Secondary/Minor Characters Who Deserve Their Own Book. I really like this topic but it was so hard to come up with some good answers. While I did my best, I may not have found 10… Let’s take a look!
1. Fenrys
Throne of Glass – Sarah J. Maas
You might be sick and tired of me mentioning the Throne of Glass series but I just can’t help myself haha. One of my favorite secondary characters has to be Fenrys and I would love, love, love a book about his story. He deserves all the love in the world and I think reading about his history could be heartbreaking but also amazing.
2. June Claremont-Diaz
Red, White & Royal Blue – Casey McQuiston
I really liked Alex’ sister in RW&RB and would’ve loved to read more about her. It was such a shame they cut her character from the movie. I would love to read a book about her, or even just a novella!
3. Kit Rook and Ty Blackthorn
The Shadowhunters Universe – Cassandra Clare
I know they are getting their own series; The Wicked Powers. It’s just taking way too long in my opinion haha. These are some of my favorite characters out of the whole Shadowhunters universe and there is not even a hint about the year this will be released. So they deserved a mention haha.
4. Holland Vosijk
Shades of Magic – V.E. Schwab
I know Holland isn’t really a minor character but I do think he deserves his own book! We have learned a lot about him in the series but I would love to read more from his perspective. I love how he went from a villain to a beloved character.
5. Christopher
Every Heart a Doorway – Seanan McGuire
I’m pretty sure Christopher is supposed to get his own book at some point and I really hope that is true. Apart from Jack I think Christopher is my favorite character in this series. I would love to read more about his story and his door, it sounded super interesting.
6. Connor
Crescent City – Sarah J. Maas
She basically pulled a Sam again and while it would shatter my heart I would love to read a novella (or a whole book) about Connor. I’m loving that Ithan got more and more page time as he might be my favorite male character in Crescent City so a Holstrom brothers novella sounds perfect to me.
7. The Thirteen
Throne of Glass – Sarah J. Maas
Please don’t hate me haha. But I had to mention these witched. They have shattered my heart over and over but I would love to read more about them. Give me those early years!
8. Renee
All For the Game – Nora Sakavic
I adore this series so much and just thinking about it makes me want to reread it AGAIN haha. Renee is one of my absolute favorite secondary characters and I would love to read more about her. We learn a bit about her history but I would very much like to see it all play out and see her getting into Exy and befriend Andrew.
If I really wanted to I could probably come up with some more characters but I don’t have really strong feelings about anyone besides the ones I already mentioned. What do you think of my picks? Let me know in the comments!
Oh, I can’t believe I forgot to include some of the characters from Red, White, and Royal Blue. I complained bitterly about the film’s treatment of a bunch of the secondary characters, so it should have been fresh in my mind!
Aaw Christopher. I can’t wait for him to get his own book of his door story or being a bigger focus in the group stories.

I love the excitement in your answers! 🙂
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
YES to Holland getting his own story because omg, I think I ended up loving him the most on my first re-read of the ADSOM series. I was very surprised by that ???? I also totally agree about June! I didn’t end up loving that book as much as everyone else seemed to but I did love June a lot. I’d definitely be interested in reading individual stories about these characters. Great list!

Interesting list. The only book I have read from your list is Throne of Glass but it’s been so long that I don’t remember any of the characters.

I haven’t read any of these books, but there are a couple I want to read. I hope you get more for these characters.
I need Kit and Tys book!
I 100% agree that The Thirteen need their own series!!!
