We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
On Saturday the boyfriend and I went to hang out with some book club friends. We grabbed lunch at a bagel place and it’s the closest I’ve gotten to New York bagels in years. They were so good. It was a great time with great people. We walked around the city for awhile and visited the bookstores we came across. It was a good day!
We recently had a few really warm days, but the last week has been a lot cooler and I can’t complain. I’m liking this weather a lot more. I actually enjoyed a nice cup of tea and Shadow was enjoying the opportunity to be comfortable and curl up on a blanket again.
There are three new eARCs that I’m excited to show you this week. I was approved recently and I hope to read them soon!

I’m currently reading Vengeful, Wasted Words, Way of the Argosi, As Above So Below, and Julieta and the Romeos.
Next I’ll be reading The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t with Her Mind, The Silvered Serpents, and Neon Gods.
There are two cover reveals I want to share this week. We finally have a cover for House of Flame and Shadow! I can’t wait for this book. Also, after loving The Fiancee Farce earlier this year, I was so excited to see Alexandria Bellefleur’s cover reveal for her next romance. Truly, Madly, Deeply sounds like it’s going to be another amazing read!
Last weekend I watched Set It Up on Netflix. I really enjoyed this movie and hope to watch the sequel soon. Also, Is it Cake, too? is on Netflix and it still amazes me what people can do with cake!
Like a lot of other people, I’ve been listening to Speak Now (Taylor’s version). It’s interesting to see how her voice has changed and also listen to the new songs.
