Wishlist Wednesday | Anticipated Releases February 2023

The first month of 2023 is flying by, because it’s already time to look at February releases! What books are we excited for? Any books that we just HAVE to read? Keep on reading to see what books are on our anticipated February releases list!

Seven Faceless Saints – M.K. Lobb (February 7th)

This is a dark fantasy debut, has a murder-mystery twist and is supposedly for fans of Leigh Bardugo and Kerri Maniscalco. I don’t need to know much more than that to be honest haha. Looks like there will be some politics and rebellion and of course a dark secret. Early reviews are pretty positive!

Out of Character – Jenna Miller (February 7th)

Out of Character just happens to be one of my most anticipated releases so far this year! I love when a character has a fandom and finds an online community to share the love of said fandom. This one seems to get messy when her online life interferes with her real life situation. I’m hoping I love it as much as I think I will!

This Time It’s Real – Ann Liang (February 7th)

Look at this pretty cover! This Time It’s Real has fake dating and that just happens to be my favorite trope. We all know fake dating can get messy, so this is going to be an interesting one.

Secretly Yours – Tessa Bailey (February 7th)

Tessa Bailey’s books seem to be hit or miss for me, but after enjoying the Bellinger Sisters duology last year and I’m curious about Secretly Yours. This looks like it’s going to be another fun small town romance. The second book releases in June, so if this stays a duology I’ll be able to read another series back to back.

Delicious Monsters – Liselle Sambury (February 28th)

A YA thriller with paranormal elements. We have a mysterious mansion, dual timelines and at least one character that sees ghosts. It sounds like the main characters don’t have the best home situations. Early reviews are quite positive.

The Neighbor Favor – Kristina Forest (February 28th)

The Neighbor Favor caught my attention, because the main character wants to be an editor for children’s books. Her neighbor just happens to be the author she’s been corresponding with, but she doesn’t know that. I have a feeling I’m going to love this romance!

The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi – S.A. Chakraborty (February 28th)

I still haven’t read the Daevabad trilogy but I want to really badly! The author is coming out with a new series and it sounds awesome. A female pirate (and mother) is our main character and she’s going on one last adventure. It was also promoted as Sinbad meets Ocean 11 and since the latter is one of my absolute favorite movies ever I just know I’m going to love this one!

So these are the books we’re looking forward to that release next month! Do we have any in common? Or are there any that we missed? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you!

  1. Seven Faceless Saints sounds like something I’d be interested in, especially when it says “for fans of Leigh Bardugo.” I hadn’t heard of Delicious Monsters, but when you say “A YA thriller with paranormal elements,” color me intrigued!
