We’re getting closer to Halloween and I thought it would be fun to do another Halloween tag. I found this one over at Zezee’s but it looks like the creator CatFairy Books’s blog isn’t available to link back to anymore. This is not a very long tag but hopefully you find it fun nonetheless, let’s jump in!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE HALLOWEEN MOVIES?
That has to be Nightmare before Christmas! I know there is a discussion whether this is a Halloween or a Christmas movie but I love to watch it during Halloween. This year I also want to watch the Hocus Pocus sequel. I’ve heard some good things and I’m excited to watch it.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HALLOWEEN BOOK?
I love reading a new instalment in the Small Spaces series by Katherine Arden. Although I will have to look for a new Halloween go to soon as there are now 4 books and that concludes the series. The first book was actually set during fall but the rest is very spooky as well.
WHAT OTHER HALLOWEEN BOOKS WOULD YOU RECOMMEND?
Another great Halloween series is the Cassidy Blake series by V.E. Schwab, another spooky MG series. I loved reading those books and I’m pretty sad the series is now concluded. This time of year I just love reading mysteries and thrillers in general (although I like reading them any time of year to be honest) and I have some great ones waiting for me.
DO YOU OWN ANY HALLOWEEN UGLY SWEATERS?
I didn’t know this was a thing!! Now I do want one! I love ugly sweaters (and sweaters in general) so it would be so much fun to get an ugly Halloween one. For Christmas I have several so it would be nice to have another opportunity to wear one.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE HALLOWEEN COSTUMES?
I like so many Halloween costumes, I don’t have specific costumes I enjoy to be honest. It’s a lot of fun seeing all the creative costumes, especially group ones. I would love to properly celebrate Halloween again at some point.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR HALLOWEEN THIS YEAR?
I don’t have anything special planned, there will be a jumping competition where I will be helping Halloween weekend. Other than that I want to watch a movie, probably Hocus Pocus 2. And of course I’ll be reading some spooky books in the coming two weeks!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CHILDHOOD HALLOWEEN MEMORY?
Halloween isn’t really a thing here in the Netherlands, or at least it didn’t use to be so I don’t have any Halloween childhood memories. My first really Halloween memory is when I was studying in London. We all dressed up and I had a lot of fun!
Did you know there were Halloween themed ugly sweaters? Do you own any? I would love to see them, and probably get one myself haha. And what will you be reading for Halloween? Let me know in the comments!
