WWW Wednesday #17

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Lessons in Chemistry – Bonnie Garmus

Lessons in Chemistry is a book I’m so glad I gave a chance. After seeing it everywhere I was so curious. Our main character was an amazing and strong woman. I loved that she was fighting was was seen acceptable for women. This book has quite a few POVs, but it switches easily and I couldn’t put it down.

Every Summer After – Carley Fortune

Every Summer After was definitely a great summer read. I couldn’t put it down and I loved switching between the past and present. Honestly, I could’ve done without the reveal at the end. All in all, a great read though.

Layla – Colleen Hoover

It’s been almost a week since I finished Layla and I’m honestly still not sure what I read. Layla is a lot different than other books I’ve read by this author and it wasn’t my favorite. The author managed to suck me in and make me want to read, but it wasn’t my favorite.

What are you currently reading?

I’m reading a lot of books at once, so I’m not going to tell you about them all, but I’ll discuss a few.

Legends & Lattes – Travis Baldree

Travis Baldree published Legends & Lattes independently first, but it’s not going to be released with Tor Books. I was lucky to an e-arc and I’m about 20% in now. I love Viv and I think it’s interesting to see a new world that doesn’t know coffee and see what they think.

Don’t Close Your Eyes – Emily Kazmierksi

I devoured Don’t Look Behind You when the author released it last year. It’s finally time for me to sit down with the sequel, Don’t Close Your Eyes, and it starts off with a bang. I already know this one is going to keep me on the edge of my seat.

All of Us Villains – Amanda Foody & Christine Lynn Herman

All of Us Villains is actually a book I read quite a bit of last year, but got distracted as I tend to do, haha. A friend and I are reading it together, so I decided to start over. I love the idea of a tournament to decide which family rules the magic, but it’s intense, because all of the other contestants must die. We get multiple POVs and I love that.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have a couple of buddy reads coming up and there’s a group read I want to get started on.

Broken Bonds – J. Bree

Broken Bonds is a book I’ve heard amazing things about and it’s time for me to give this paranormal romance a try. A book club I’m in is doing this one as a group read this week, so why not join along? I’m hoping to love this as much as I think I will.

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow – Gabrielle Zevin

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow is another book I’ve seen everywhere on bookstagram since it released. So a few friends and I decided to read it together. I love that this spans 30 years with our two characters. I can’t wait to dive in.

Gild – Raven Kennedy

I’m also finally starting Gild. After seeing so many people talk about it I need to read it for myself. People keep telling me the first book is their least favorite, so I’ll keep that in mind!

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week. What are you currently reading? Or did you read anything recently everyone needs to know about? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
