It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
It Happened One Summer – Tessa Bailey
It Happened One Summer is a book that has been so hyped. Especially since a movie adaptation was recently announced. So I decided it was time for me to see what all the hype was about. I actually really enjoyed It Happened One Summer. There were laugh out loud moments, swoon-worthy moments, and even some steamy times. My heart came to love this small town and its characters.
In the Weeds – B.K. Borison
In the Weeds is a book I saw everywhere on bookstagram for awhile. When it became a group read for a romance book club last month I was excited. Except it took me a bit longer to really be sucked into this book than I was expecting. Don’t get me wrong, it was really good, but it didn’t have me so hooked I couldn’t stop reading. I definitely will be reading more books by this author.
What are you currently reading?
The Agathas – Kathleen Glasgow & Liz Lawson
Mysteries and thrillers are two things I’ve been wanting to read more of. So I was very excited when The Agathas was chosen as a group read for TBR and Beyond. At the moment I’m only 4 chapters in, but already love that we have a dual POV. I’m not sure how it’s all going to play out, but I’m intrigued.
Busted Dreams – Blake Blessing
Busted Dreams is the third book in the Astrid Scott series. We’re definitely getting more hints of this becoming a reverse harem. I have to say I’m pulled right into this one after experiencing a slower start with the second book. I love that we’re getting more chapters from the guys’ POV. This is a series I’m definitely invested in now.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I actually have a few buddy/group reads going on and I’m sure a couple more will pop up, but these are the three books I expect to be reading this week.
The Godparent Trap – Rachel van Dyken
The synopsis of The Godparent Trap remind me of the movie Life as We Know It. Two enemies have to live and work together when they become co-parents after a tragic loss. We all know they’ll definitely become closer, but it won’t be easy. I have a feeling I won’t be putting this one down once I start reading it.
Broken Boys Can’t Love – Micalea Smeltzer
Micalea Smeltzer is an author I’ve heard a lot about lately on bookstagram and booktube. Broken Boys Can’t Love caught my attention by the title alone. Why do I think this book is going to break my heart? It also seems like there’s some kind of fake dating/helping each other out. I’m intrigued!
You’re Invited – Amanda Jayatissa
I’ve been in the mood for thrillers lately, so when I saw this e-arc I had to grab it. And then someone on bookstagram was asking if there were people who wanted to buddy read and it felt meant to be. So I’ll definitely be reading this book when this post comes online. I mean it’s already hard that you’re best friend is marrying your ex-boyfriend, but when she goes missing and you’re blamed, it sound like things are going to get complicated.
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week. I’m really hoping to make up for my lack of reading last week. What are your answers for WWW Wednesday? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
A great selection of books here… It Happened One Summer is definitely on my TBR after seeing it everywhere this week!

I enjoyed It Happened One Summer but slightly preferred Hook, Line and Sinker. I want to read The Agathas!
Have a great week!
