Last week Netflix released a new Spanish show and it sounded good to me so I decided to give it a go. The English name is The Longest Night and the whole season takes place during one night (what a surprise haha). Let’s see what I thought of the first episodes.
Centres on a psychiatric prison where a group of armed men aim to capture an incarcerated serial killer, but are met with resistance from the prison director.
I’m pretty sure this is a mini series so I don’t expect a second season. But the season we got has 6 episodes. They’re all about 45 minutes and like I said it’s all set during one night.
I really enjoy Spanish series so I’m always looking for a new one. And as soon as I read what this one was about, I wanted to give it a try. I like heist type stories and while this might not be a true heist it does give off that same vibe. It’s always a guess what the characters’ next move will be and it’s a lot of fun trying to predict what will happen next.
I watched the first episode and immediately continued with the second. The story grabbed me right away! Overall it’s an intriguing plot and I like that there are some extra layers with secrets to discover. A couple of characters have their own little side plot going on and I can’t wait to figure what is going on with them.
So far I’ve really enjoyed the first episodes and I will for sure continue with the rest of the episodes very soon. I can’t wait to see how this end and I hope we’ll have a satisfying conclusion. This is definitely a show I recommend watching and I will share my thoughts after finishing the whole show as well. Had you heard about this one yet? Let me know if you’re going to watch it!
