It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
A female comic book creator was all I needed to know before wanting to read The Comic Con. This book was so much fun. It made me laugh, cry, and swoon. Birdie and Atticus are amazing characters. I highly recommend this book.
Dating Dr. Dil – Nisha Sharma
Dating Dr. Dil was another fun read. This one had me laughing out loud and ended up being more steamy than I realized. I think everything wrapped up just a bit too easy, but still an amazing story. Even though I couldn’t get over him calling his manhood “Charlie”, haha. Also, if you’re a fan of audiobooks I recommend this one. It’s really good.
Shadow Princess – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
I finally finished Shadow Princess. And it hurt a lot like I was expecting, haha. Shadow Princess was an amazing story and once I really sat down to read it again I couldn’t put it down. Some of the characters have been annoying, but that doesn’t take away my enjoyment of this story.
Throne of Glass – Sarah J Maas
Throne of Glass is one of my favorite series. Even though I need to read the final book. A friend of mine wants to finish it as well, so we’re buddy reading it. This was actually my 4th time reading the first book and I still noticed things I didn’t see the first 3 times.
What are you currently reading?
Set on You – Amy Lea
At the moment I’m actually almost done with Set on You. This rom-com with a plus-size gymfluencer has caught a place in my heart. I’ve laughed, cried, gotten angry for the main character, and I’ve just loved every moment. Her sister is a bookstagrammer and I really hope the author also gives us her story.
The Summer I Turned Pretty – Jenny Han
So The Summer I Turned Pretty is becoming a TV show, so Isabelle and I decided to buddy read the trilogy before we watch. It’s clear that this is an older YA contemporary and it’s very predictable, haha. I’m enjoying it so far though.
Gone Dark – Amanda Panitch
So I’ve been wanting to read Gone Dark since I got my e-arc, but you know how I can be with reading, haha. My e-arc is expiring soon, so I needed to get it going. I’ve read about 25% so far and I’m loving it! I can’t imagine losing access to power the way it happens here and I’m curious to see this all play out.
Cursed Fates – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
After the ending of Shadow Princess I had to see how certain things played out. Cursed Fates is huge and I’ve read the first few chapters so far and it’s sucked me right in. I’ll be reading this one throughout May.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Crown of Midnight – Sarah J Maas
After finishing our re-read of Throne of Glass it’s time to start Crown of Midnight. When this comes online I’ll have read the first few chapters. I’m wondering if I’ll notice new things the fourth time reading it.
7th Circle – Tate James
After loving the Madison Kate series the next series in this world has been calling me. Hades is a 4 book series that starts with 7th Circle. Just like with Crown of Midnight I’ll have already read the first few chapters when this comes online. I bought the alternate covers to read and I love them. I’m hoping to love this as much as Madison Kate.
Dead Girls Never Talk – SJ Sylvis
SJ Sylvis is an author I love and her next book Dead Girls Never Talk releases the 19th. I received an e-arc and I’m excited to dive in. It takes place at a boarding school and that really is my favorite book setting. I can’t wait to get to know these characters.
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week. What’s yours? What are you currently reading? What do you plan on reading next? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
ahh so many good books.
Yes, Shadow Princess hurt but so damn good.
I also plan on rereading The Summer I Turned Pretty. It’s been awhile so I’m happy to see you call it older YA.
Happy reading! 🙂
You’ve been quite busy this week and I have a few of these books on my TBR too. I’m about to start Dating Dr Dil and can’t wait to read The Comic Con and Set On You.
I only read the 1st book in the Zodiac Academy so far, but I decided to continue with the series. And I will be re-reading the Throne of Glass series for the 3rd time this Summer ;). I’m currently buddy reading the ACOTAR series with my best friend. It’s her 1st time reading and my 3rd re-read.
