We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
Things get textual when a steamy message from a random wrong number turns into a thrilling anonymous relationship in this hilarious rom-com by Lynn Painter.
Bad luck has always followed Olivia Marshall…or maybe she’s just the screw-up her family thinks she is. But when a “What are you wearing?” text from a random wrong number turns into the hottest, most entertaining—albeit anonymous—relationship of her life, she thinks things might be on the upswing….
Colin Beck has always considered Olivia his best friend’s annoying little sister, but when she moves in with them after one of her worst runs of luck, he realizes she’s turned into an altogether different and sexier distraction. He’s sure he can keep his distance, until the moment he discovers she’s the irresistible Miss Misdial he’s been sort of sexting for weeks—and now he has to decide whether to turn the heat up or ghost her before things get messy.
Better Than the Movies is definitely on the list of one of my favorite books of 2021! That book had me laughing and it made my rom-com loving heart very happy. I would love to read more about those characters, but I’m also really happy about this author’s next release Mr. Wrong Number. I’m a big fan of books with text messages and adding a mysterious relationship will definitely make this book interesting. Because how will texting to a random wrong number play out? I’ll be counting down the days until I have this one in my hands!
March 1st seems so far away when you know a book you really want to read will be releasing then. I’m really hoping I love this one just as much as Better Than the Movies! Is this book on your radar? Or discover any new books you’re really excited about? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you!
I enjoy a good romcom as well. I just finished one, A Girl’s Guide to the Outback by Jessica Kate, it was so good and hilarious! Have a good week!
