We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
Since my last Royal Update not much has happened. I’m back at work three days now. It seems to be going okay, so I’m hoping it stays that way and I can try working without my brace soon.
Last weekend didn’t start off well. I started getting a cold (for some reason I always get them in the summer), but with everything still going on I had to get tested. The first time since everything started and I don’t wish to do that again, haha. Thankfully it was negative and the boyfriend treated me to ice cream as a reward, haha.
Things haven’t gone quite as planned when it comes to ARCs. I’ve added a few tours to my schedule in the next couple of months (and two in the next couple of weeks), so let’s say it didn’t help my Netgalley feedback ratio at all. I added 8 to my Kindle.
Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: King of Scars, A Guy Walks Into My Bar, A Sky Beyond the Storm, The Dark of You, The Unhoneymooners, Six Stories and Forget This Ever Happened.
I’m currently reading: Rule of Wolves, The Royal We, One Last Stop, Realm Breaker, Crazy Rich Girlfriend, The Library of the Unwritten and The Guncle.
This week I plan on starting quite a few books. I plan on reading: Charming and the Cherry Blossom, Pretty Savage, The Taking of Jake Livingston, Kill the Queen and A Pho Love Story.
To be honest I was rather busy last week and did a lot of reading. There wasn’t any bookish news that stood out to me when I was online.
Between working and being a bit under the weather there’s been no shopping for me!
Of course I’m caught up with Loki. It’s so sad there’s only one episode left. I’m not ready for this show to be over yet. It’s done so well!
Also, as a big fan of the Fear Street books when I was a teenager I had to watch the movies. I enjoyed them both and I’m looking forward to the next one coming to Netflix at the end of this week I believe.
I’ve been listening to different things lately, but one band I discovered again is The Fray. There music is fun to listen to and it’s nice diving back into songs I haven’t heard in ages.
So that’s it for me about the last two weeks. How have you been? Have you read anything interesting? Let me know in the comments!
If you’ve got to get tested for Covid then you do deserve ice cream afterwards. I’m a big fan of rewards ❤️ And, what a wonderful collection of reads. I could shop from your pile alone.
