I don’t think I did too bad in the past two weeks with adding books to my want to read shelf on Goodreads, but I still have plenty to get through, so it’s still good to keep on going every two weeks!
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
- Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!
Current “to-read” shelf: 833 (my last post ended at 831, so I actually did really well for a change, haha…)
The Trouble with Hating You – Sajni Patel
If I’m honest I forgot all about The Trouble with Hating You, but it does sound like my kind of book. Hate to love can be a lot of fun to read and this one sounds like a good one.
Keep
Undercover Bromance – Lyssa Kay Adams
This is a case of I recently read the book, but a different version was still on my want to read list, so that makes this choice really easy. I would highly recommend this book and I’m upset I didn’t read this one sooner. In fact my review will be coming online Monday.

Layoverland – Gabby Noone
Two teens fall in love in purgatory. Now that sounds like something unique. I have to say that I’m intrigued. It’s hard to judge this one though, because no one I know has read it. I think I’ll keep this one around though, because I’m just curious!

Love & Olives – Jenna Evans Welch
This is the third book in the Love & Gelato series and each book takes place in a different country. I loved the first two books and have been excited about reading Love & Olives, but just have to make time to sit down and read. It sounds like the perfect summer read, so I should make time for it.
Keep
Burn Our Bodies Down – Rory Power
Horror normally isn’t my go to genre, but I’ve been trying more books lately. Burn Our Bodies Down has been on my shelf since it released last year, so once again it’s a book I should’ve read already. I still love this cover!
Keep
Skywatchers – Carrie Arcos
Skywatchers sounds interesting. A mystery about the history of the Cold War and UFO phenomenon. I’m familiar with the Cold War, but not the whole UFO situation. The cover is stunning and I wouldn’t be honest if I didn’t say I wasn’t interested.
Keep
All These Bodies – Kendare Blake
All These Bodies is finally almost here!! I love the Three Dark Crown series written by this author and when I read the synopsis for this book I was sold. It releases in September, so I only have a few more months before I can finally pick this one up!
Keep
Last Girls – Demetra Brodsky
Why haven’t I read this one yet?!?!? I loved Dive Smack and even have an e-arc of this book. I really love this author’s other book Dive Smack and have heard amazing things about Last Girls.
Keep
25 Days ‘Til Christmas – Poppy Alexander
I want to say that I started listening to this audiobook, but got distracted. This sounds like the perfect holiday feel good book and I may just have to pick it up later this year. I love all things Christmas.
Keep
Every Other Weekend – Abigail Johnson
Every Other Weekend sounds like a very emotional read, but one that I’ll love. Also, look at the stunning cover!

So this week didn’t go very well, haha. There were a lot of amazing sounding books this week. Have you read any of these? Did I make the right choices? Let me know what I should read first in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
I have not read any of these, but I would like The Trouble with Hating You. I need to try this too!
