If you’ve been following the blog you’ll know that I love reading romance. I’ve noticed the past few months that I haven’t read many and I want that to change. There’s no shortage of romance releases, so I shouldn’t have any problem finding new books to read. So today I want to talk about the 2021 romance releases that I want to read. Keep on reading to find out more!
I have to start off by saying with the amount of romance books that release every month there’s no way that this list will ever be complete. So I’m only talking about ten releases today.
Arsenic and Adobo – Mia P. Manansala
The cover was the first thing that caught my eye, but I really want to give a cozy mystery a go. Arsenic and Adobo sounds like the perfect one to start with. I’m actually participating in a group read for this book in May, so I’m really excited!
Playing the Palace – Paul Rudnick
The fact that Playing the Palace is a romantic comedy already scored points in my book. A lot of people have dreamed of dating a prince or princess and our main character ends up doing just that. I’m really hoping for them to get their happily ever after.
If the Shoe Fits – Julie Murphy
As a fan of retellings I was excited to stumble upon this Cinderella retelling. If the Shoe Fits doesn’t release until August, but it’ll definitely be one I pick up. A plus sized woman on a reality dating show hoping to help her fashion career sounds like an interesting story to me.
The Road Trip – Beth O’Leary
Beth O’Leary is an author I’ve been wanting to read something by and The Road Trip sounds really good. When a road trip doesn’t go as planned things will definitely get interesting.
People We Meet on Vacation – Emily Henry
A book titled People We Meet on Vacation is definitely one I can’t not add to the list when it’s almost summer. Friends to lovers is one of the tropes I really enjoy and I’m hoping these two characters end up with a happily ever after.
One Last Stop – Casey McQuiston
After loving Red, White and Royal Blue as much as I did I can tell you that everything this author writes will be something I buy. I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of One Last Stop! Can you imagine figuring out your subway crush is actually from the past?
The Ex Talk – Rachel Lynn Solomon
The Ex Talk is a romantic comedy with enemies to lovers. Two elements I love in a book. I actually already own this one and hope to read it soon. I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about it.
Shipped – Angie Hockman
Shipped has a cover that screams summer, but also sounds like a lot of fun. I’ll be reading this as a group read next month and I’m hoping I love it. Another enemies to lovers book I’m hoping will have me hooked.
Accidentally Engaged – Farah Heron
Fake dating to enter a cooking competition for couples. What could go wrong?!? Haha. I’m a big fan of cooking shows and the fake dating trope. So sign me up for this one!
Act Your Age, Eve Brown – Talia Hibbert
I loved Get a Life, Chloe Brown and even own the second book in the trilogy. I already know I’m going to want and love Act Your Age, Eve Brown. All three books have amazing covers and I just have a feeling this is going to be a great read.
So these are ten of the releases I’m excited about reading. I’m hoping to start reading more romance again. I’ve missed it. Are any of these on your TBR? Or do you have any other romance recommendations I need to check out? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
I hope to start Arsenic and Adobo soon, and Playing the Palace is on my wish list!
