Tag| ’90s Cartoon Book Tag

It’s not always easy lately to find book tags I either haven’t done or think look like fun. I did finally find one on ZeZee with Books. That’s where I found the ’90s Cartoon Book Tag. Growing up in the ’90s I loved watching cartoons and definitely miss some of the ones around back then. Let’s take a look at this tag!

Find a book that’s a nostalgic read

Fangirl is one of the books that really got me into reading contemporary. I’ve read it 3 times now and I love going back every once in awhile. I’m definitely a fangirl and it’s fun reading about others who have fandoms they love as well.

Find a book about growing up

The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy isn’t only about the romance or the letters she wrote to her crushes. The main character also deals with all aspects of growing up and all the changes that come along with that. I’m currently re-reading the final book before the movie comes to Netflix later this month.

Johnny Bravo

Find a book whose main character you didn’t like

It doesn’t happen often that I don’t like the main characters in the books I’m reading. Every once in awhile it does and that was the case in I Hate Everyone But You. Gen just got on my nerves and I really didn’t like how she treated her best friend.

South Park

Find a book with questionable humor

While I’m typing this I honestly can’t think of a book I’ve read with questionable humor. Maybe I have read some, but they’re just not coming to mind right now.

Powerpuff Girls

Find a book with a kick-butt female lead

The newest kick-butt female lead I read is Sophia from Cinderella is Dead. She wasn’t going to sit back and accept how she and other women were treated in her world. I loved that she didn’t give up on what she believed in and did so on her own for quite some time. This was such an interesting take on Cinderella and I’m so glad I picked it up!

Rocket Power

What is your favorite sport-centered book scene?

I don’t really remember specific sport scenes in books that I’ve read. At least nothing that really jumps out to me. That being said I love the matches in Fence and really need to continue with this graphic novel series.

What is your favorite sci-fi book?

Sci-fi is a genre I really need to read more of, because I have really enjoyed the books I’ve read so far. My favorite is Illuminae. This whole trilogy is amazing and I loved the unique way this story was told. It’s actually on my list to re-read this year!

So that’s it for the ’90 cartoon book tag. I have to say I wasn’t a fan of all of these cartoons, but some were fun! What were your favorite cartoons growing up? Let me know in the comments!
