We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
I finished my time at my current intership and got a really good review. It was so great to hear how happy they were with how I was doing. I was once again reminded that this is what I’m meant to be doing, according to my mentor I’m a born teacher and I can’t wait to finish my studies and be a teacher full time. Of course I had to treat myself to some clothes I could be wearing while teaching ;). So I spend a LOT of money on new clothes haha. A friend of mine has her own clothing store but because of the new lockdown she had to close again, I bought the clothing from her store so I could support her and also get really nice new clothes.
I managed not to get any new ARC’s. Now I just need to read the ones I already have. I’m just very busy and have mostly been reading ‘easy’ books. Might have to see if I have any of those on my Netgalley shelf!
I finished The Cheerleaders, In A Holidaze and One Way or Another. All were very enjoyable! At the moment I’m reading The Golden Compass and Level Grind. I’m not sure what else I’ll be picking up, might be a small book so I can still reach my Goodreads goal ;).
I’m just going to leave you all with this. Because this is by far the most exciting news we got this week and I don’t have any hype left for anything else ;). Even my brother heard about this show (although he expects me to be disappointed since I love the books so much haha). Is it April yet?
I didn’t buy anything other than clothes and Christmas presents. Soon I’ll be able to share those with you all!!
I finished my rewatch of Sabrina and I honestly can’t wait for the last season to release!! After that I watch the German Netflix show Biohackers. Highly recommend it, I’m looking forward to the second season. And I just started Tiny Pretty Things, while I love the ballet aspect and the soundtrack, the plot lines are all over the place and a lot isn’t making sense. But you know I will still watch the whole thing haha.
I adore the song Lampedusa, both the dutch version and the original. And since I’ve been enjoying the original so much, I’ve been listening to the artist more. He’s a French singer and while I don’t understand much, I do love the flow of the songs, the sound of the words and just the feeling I get from the songs. So I’ve been listing to Christophe Mae and would highly recommend his songs, especially Lampedusa.
So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Have you read anything interesting? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
