Before talking about our favorite quotes, I don’t want to take time to talk about possible trigger warnings in A Wicked Magic. This book is a bit darker and I feel that these need to be named for readers: self harm, suicide and suicide ideation, depression, obsessive behaviors, alcoholism, anxiety, abduction and child abuse. Our favorite quotes

That was the point of running: that if you pushed yourself hard enough, it hurt, and if it hurt enough, you could give all your thoughts over to that pain.

 

“Everyone knew Johnny was gone, at least for now. If he was coming back, it wasn’t because anyone could find him.”

“What was she supposed to tell her father, who she barely spoke to – that his sister had been cursed into a fairy-tale coma?”

The more Liss demanded of her, the more Dan resented her – the kind of anger that was only possible when you really, truly loved someone – and the more Dan resented her, the more Liss demanded.
