We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I got a new job where I started May 1st so I have been working a lot haha. While giving horse riding lessons my leg was bothering me lot so I switched to a job where I could sit down the better part of the day. This is going very well and I’m enjoying my days a lot more. I also have some great colleagues so I’m glad I found this job.

As you’re reading this I’m at my first day back at my internship. The primary schools have (mostly) opened their doors again and I’m lucky to be able to go back as well. Not all interns are invited back yet, this totally depends on the school. I really missed the kids so I’m so happy I am able to see them again and hopefully start teaching again as well.

With my new job I’m working 4 days a week, I also have one day of school myself and then starting this week one day at my internship. As you can imagine I’m super busy and I’ll admit I was pretty tired this last week. Hopefully I won’t be as tired once I’ve completely settled in at my job. For now I’m just carrying on but I’m not reading that much and I’ve hardly watched any of my shows haha.

I got an eARC for one of my most anticipated releases of this year!! After loving The Beautiful I was looking forward to The Damned so much. And I was already happy that it would release less than a year after The Beautiful released. But now I get to read it even sooner!! As soon as I’ve read it I will share my review with you all, let’s hope it will live up to my expectations.

I haven’t been reading that much unfortunately. At the moment I’m still reading Ruthless Gods and I’m in the middle of a reread of the Wayward Children series. I will be reading some MG novels this month but to be honest I’m not completely sure which ones yet!

There has been quite some bookish news recently! The most exciting piece of news for me personally was the reveal of the title for book 4 in the Witchlands series:

And lastly, J.K. Rowling and Pottermore are doing Harry Potter at Home because of the Corona crisis. Part of that is a reading of the first book by celebrities! The first chapter, read by Daniel Radcliffe is now available and the rest will follow. I already listened and loved it! It’s up on Spotify and I believe it’s also on Youtube. As I said in my life update I haven’t been watching that much tv, however I did start watching a new show. Lately I’ve been seeing a lot about the show Merlin, the show seems to have a die hard following haha. I found that Merlin was available on the Dutch Neflix and I have been watching it ever since! So far I’m really enjoying it and I can’t wait to watch the rest of the show.

I haven’t been watching that much music, but the last couple of days I have been listening to these songs a lot!
