TTT #98| Books On My Fall 2019 TBR

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books On My Fall 2019 TBR. I have to think about this one, because I just recently posted about the books I want to read before 2020. These definitely aren’t the only books I want to read, so let’s see what ten I added to this week’s Top Ten Tuesday!

The Burning Shadow – Jennifer L. Armentrout This is the sequel to The Darkest Star and I’m so excited!! The first book ended with quite the twist, so I need more! And I still really want to do a reread of the LUX series!

Aurora Rising – Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman These two amazing authors created The Illuminae Files together and their newest creation definitely has me curious! I have had this book since release day, but it seems like the perfect Fall read! I’ve heard a lot of amazing things, so I’m pretty excited.

The Final Empire – Brandon Sanderson Mistoborn has been on my list for so long, I really need to give it a go! My boyfriend read this trilogy and loved it. I’ve met my Goodreads goal, so I can grab all the bigger books I want. Hopefully I can pick up the first one in November!

Thunderhead – Neal Shusterman Scythe was such an interesting and unique book. Thunderhead is the sequel that’s actually been out for quite some time. A lot of people have talked about the cliffhanger this book has, so I’ve been waiting to read this one closer to the release date of the third and final book! The Toll releases in November, so it’s now safe to read this one!

Daughter of the Pirate King – Tricia Levenseller This is another duology I’ve heard amazing things about! Daughter of the Pirate King was a birthday gift, so it’s time to give it a go. I think this is another perfect Fall read.

Girls Made of Snow and Glass – Melissa Bashardoust I haven’t really heard a lot about this book and it was released two years ago. After posting a picture of it on Instagram, there were a few people who said it’s really good. So I guess it’s time to bump it up on my TBR!

Spellslinger – Sebastien de Castell A friend of mine is a big fan of this series and she’s made me very curious. I was able to get the first four books with sprayed edges, so I’m hoping these pretty books are amazing! They also have a squirrel cat, so I can’t resist that.

The Binding – Bridget Collins Another book that really hasn’t had much attention, but it sounds amazing! On top of that, the book is gorgeous. The Binding is really intriguing, because the idea of putting memories in a book is pretty interesting. Sounds like the perfect book to read on a rainy day.

How to Make Friends with Dark – Kathleen Glasgow I’ve been wanting to read this book, but I know it’s going to be a hard one to read. The main character loses her mother and they were close. I just have a feeling it’s going to be an amazing book, but very emotional. I recently read a review that was really positive that makes me want to pick this one up soon!

Gideon the Ninth – Tamsyn Muir I actually just got this book last month in an Illumicrate. Gideon the Ninth is a book that’s been on my radar, so I was excited to get this one. I haven’t read a lot of books with necromancers and this was sounds really good!

So these are ten of the books on my Fall TBR, along with all the unread books on my shelves, haha. Hopefully I will be able to pick up most of these though. What books are on your Fall TBR? Feel free to leave your links in the comments!

  1. Daughter of a Pirate King is one I’ve wanted to read too. I need to tackle that duology at some point. Also The Binding sounds really interesting! That one’s new to me but looks great- nice cover.

    1. The naked hardcover is gorgeous as well. I haven’t had a book that stunning in awhile!

  2. I’ve read two Jennifer L. Armentrout books and I liked them both. I want to finish the Lux series (I’ve only read the first one) before I read some of her others.

    1. She’s one of my favorite authors!! LUX is an all time favorite of mine. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series 🙂

  3. I’ve had “Scythe” on my TBR for some time now and still haven’t read it. Maybe it’s good, so if I really love it, I can read them back to back. 🙂
“Aurora Rising” is ordered and I’m so psyched for it. I loved Illuminae and I love space so I’m so curious.
Have great fun with your fall TBR. 🙂

    1. Reading back to back is never a bad thing! Illuminae was definitely a favorite, so I can’t wait to see what they do with Aurora Rising!
      Thank you 😀

    1. Haha, I know many people who wished they waited 😛

I haven’t really read anything with pirates, so that is exciting!! I’m looking forward to that one 😀

    1. Yeah, the book hasn’t gotten much attention. A couple of friends have read this one and really enjoyed it!
