Two months ago we shared our graphic novel/comic wishlist. I love reading those a lot and when I’m feeling slumpish with my reading (as I do now) I love them even more! So today I wanted to show you all some more graphic novels that I have on my wishlist. I really wish I had more funds to just buy all of these, maybe some day! For now, let’s take a look.
The Prince and the Dressmaker – Jen Wang
I have heard a lot about this one! Both the story and the art are supposedly beautiful so I can’t wait to add this one to my collection. I really like that this is a historical fiction graphic novel and can’t wait to be both entertained and learn something!
Bandette, volume 1: Presto! – Paul Tobin & Colleen Coover
I hope this one will just be a fun and quick read! From the cover I get these happy and funny vibes and the synopsis furthers that feeling. A teen thief sounds right up my alley and I love the colors they used on the cover. Can’t wait to check this one out because none of my friends have read this.
Josie and the Pussycats, volume 1 – Marguerite Bennet, Cameron DeOrdio, & Audrey Mok
I love any and all things Riverdale so obviously I need Josie and the Pussycats. The first issue of this one was featured in Riverdale vol. 1 and I really enjoyed that one. So Josie went right on my wishlist. The comic is a bit different than the tv shows for this part of it and I’m excited to read this story. I also liked the art a lot!
Exorsisters volume 1: Damned If You Don’t – Ian Boothby & Gisèle Lagacé
Exorsisters was released at the end of April and I really, really, really want it! I get major Supernatural vibes from it and that’s a show I absolutely adore. Another thing I love is the focus on sisters, I really enjoy reading about great sibling relationships. The reviews are pretty positive and I think this will be something I like a lot!
Moonstruck volume 2: Some Enchanted Evening – Grace Ellis, Shae Beagle, & Kat Fajardo
I’m not too sure about this one and will probably wait until the price goes down some more. The first volume had amazing art and a lovely world. But the story wasn’t that great and the character development was a bit weird. I hope the second volume will be better, but I have read some reviews that have me doubt that. So it will be a while before I do pick this one actually up.
Middlewest book 1 – Skottie Young & Jorge Corona
This one will be released in 2 weeks and I’m super excited for it! I love the I Hate Fairyland series by Skottie Young and I can’t wait to see what he creates next. The synopsis doesn’t tell me that much about the story so I’m ready to be surprised. The general idea I get from it sounds good so I’ll just dive in!
These are 6 of the graphic novels I currently have on my wishlist! This is just a part of my wishlist and there are a lot more on my wishlist but today I’ll leave it at this. Have you read any of the graphic novels on this list? Or do you plan on reading any of them? Let me know in the comments!
I really want to read Exorsisters too! And I’ve read – and LOVED – The Prince and the Dressmaker.
