Last time I finally got my want to read shelf under 300 books! We started with over 800 if I remember correctly, so that’s quite the progress. Let’s see how far we can get before the end of the year.
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
- Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!
Current “to-read” shelf: 298 (my last post ended at 298. So that’s the same amount as at the end of my last post.)

As you can see I removed quite a few books off of my want to read shelf this week. The only two I left on there were the books I actually have on my shelves. I will say there are still quite a few I do still want to read, but I don’t own at this moment.
Removal Percentage: 80%
Current “to-read” shelf: 290
Another Down the TBR Hole with some amazing progress! What do you think of my choices? Should I try and read any of these soon? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
