We have a lot of eARC’s and we want to promote them a little bit more. So we decided to do some more Bookish Beginnings On Friday. Today I wanted to share the start of As You Wake, Break The Shell by Becky Chambers. I really enjoyed the Becky Chambers books I’ve read so far and I’m excited for this one!

I have no idea what is going on in this first bit haha. There was another bit before this that was from a ‘textbook’. I always like it when those are part of the story and it all makes me really curious. This first dialogue between who I assume are Cora and Colibri makes me wonder what kind of alien animal Colibri is and how that bond between them works. I already have so many questions haha.
Since I adored the previous Becky Chambers books I read, I have high hopes for this one. With 480 pages, I expect a pretty big story, and I assume quite some world building. I have seen what Becky Chambers can do with only 153 pages, so I guess one might even be better!
