We’re getting close to having less than 300 books on my want to read shelf on Goodreads. Since my last post nothing has changed, but I’m curious to see what’s on the list this week.
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
- Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!
Current “to-read” shelf: 318 (my last post ended at 318. So that’s the same amount as at the end of my last post.)

This week’s list has some books I’m still just really curious about and a few that I physically own. In the end, this is what I want for this want to read shelf though. The books I really want to read and own!
Removal Percentage: 50%
Current “to-read” shelf: 313
I had a feeling that we’d get under 300 books when I sit down for the next Down the TBR Hole post. I think that was a bit enthusiastic after what stayed on my want to read shelf this week. We’ll get there soon. Have you read any of these? Should I try and make any a priority? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
